Our Founder, Benny Viselli was born in Italy, and moved to America in the 50's. He worked at bakeries through Connecticut for years, making bagels, bialis, and various breads and sweets. In 1969 he opened his own bakery and named it Bagel King. In 1993 he opened the first store in Fairfield and in 2003 he opened another store at the Brick Walk. The store is currently run by him and his son, Maurizio.
For over 40 years a bagel made by the Viselli's has not changed. Our bagels are made with no preservatives, additives, or emulsifiers. Our bagels are made from the perfect amounts of flour, water, yeast, salt, and sugar. Our bagels, breads and pastries are carefully made daily from scratch.
